Good Riddance to another year, I turn 23 tomorrow. I’m excited, so so excited – naturally! I mean, you only turn 23 once in your life, don’t you?
Today’s post is a little special. Why? Because it’s featuring the brand that was my first actual collaboration – ever, as a blogger, and an Influencer. If that isn’t a clue enough to the ones reading, I have partnered with them on multiple occasions – resulting in 7 pairs of their timeless time pieces in my (almost exploding) closet.
It was a coincidental meeting halfway around the world that sparked the idea for Daniel Wellington. On this trip, our founder Filip Tysander met an intriguing British gentleman with impeccable yet unpretentious style. The man had a particular fondness for wearing his vintage watches on old, weathered NATO straps. His name? Daniel Wellington.
Inspired by his new acquaintance’s timeless style, Filip decided to create his own line of watches. Minimalistic and refined, the classic design with interchangeable straps truly has wide-ranging appeal. Now a few years later, this design is still an important part of what makes Daniel Wellington so special.
Daniel Wellington loved to wear his watches on old NATO straps. We liked the idea and feel of the mix so much that we wanted to incorporate the idea into our own line of watches. We felt it important to make the watch thin and elegant – we wanted a clean design, without too many features, that would look good with the different patterns and colours of the iconic NATO straps.
After returning from his trip, Filip sat down and started looking at different combination he liked himself.
It was important that he loved the watch personally, or he knew that he could never sell it and be proud of it. Slowly but surely, a beautiful watch emerged. It was thin, refined and perfectly round. It was minimalistic and without too many features.
We believe that the traditional, yet crisp design blends together perfectly with the colourful NATO strap and elegant leather strap who will appeal to almost everyone with a sense for classic and timeless design.
The British navy may have pioneered the NATO strap back in the 70s, but it has come a long way since. In a range of timeless color combinations, each strap is interchangeable and says something different.
The choice of which one to wear is yours, and it can change – to suit any outfit, any occasion and any mood. It allows you to create a different watch for every day of the week.
This Holi, with every purchase of a Daniel Wellington watch, they are giving away a NATO strap, complimentary to celebrate this festival of colors. Use the coupon code DEVESH to avail 15% discount on your next purchase!
Also, don’t forget to flood my socials with your wishes tomorrow.
Until next time, lots of knowledge and power to everyone!
