Around 2 months ago when I was in the capital for India Couture Week and to launch My Safe Trip in India, my email notified me of an opportunity to collaborate with today’s brand. A little back and forth with a meeting date, and seven metro changes later, I walked into the Native Shoes store with my friend to pick my pair of new babies.
Feeling a little distraught in the unbearable heat of Delhi, we plopped ourselves on the poofs and marvelled at the collection for sometime.
Quick to make up my mind, I opted to select The Apollo Moc, in a solid gray tone. Known as the Future Classics, this piece was extremely light and my god was it soft! The Apollo Mocs – made from micro fiber which by the way, are arguably the lightest shoes in the world!
The details in its minimal design just spoke to me on a very spiritual level – yes I’m not kidding. Ok I might just be!
Native, is a Canadian brand started in 2009, who’s idea was to make fashion forward product which was lite weight, durable and extremely versatile to wear everywhere. Native Shoes’s tag line, which is #KeepItLite, stands true to its word.
Fashion giants such as Marc Jacobs and Issey Miyaki have collaborated with Native, to come out with their respective lines. To top it all, its won a Red Dot Award for Design, and is one of the few brands that has PETA approved accreditation.
I cannot get enough of these, even today. I’ve rocked these to Singapore, and several (successful) date nights!
Look out for the pictures down below?
Have a nice week, y’all.
