My chest suddenly seemed to have broadened while I sat to write this blog entry. Here it is, finally, after weeks and weeks of keeping it under wraps – my collaboration with the brand I’ve lusted over for the longest amount of time – Zara – finally sees the light of the day!
People at Zara were ridiculously cool enough to have had me shop and curate outfits from their Spring ’16 collection, which have been broken down into 4 looks.
The thing about Zara is that their clothes are so minimalistic, so they’re the easiest to either dress up for a fancy do, or dress down for a casual lunch date.
The first look, consists of a plain white linen T-shirt which I’ve paired with black skinny ripped jeans and a navy blue cashmere button down. A pair of black sunglasses goes a long way into pulling a day look with sophistication.
The second look, is more monochromatic, in shades of just black and grey, which happen to be my wardrobe essentials. A black loose knit cardigan thrown on a grey sweatshirt, brings out a polished look – relaxed, but a little more classy.
The third look, which is my favourite, comprises of a beautiful black rider jacket from their latest collection. I’ve paired this bad-boy with a simple White T-shirt and the same skinny ripped jeans. Accessorizing the outfit with a chic black hat and sunglasses, the whole look is upped in quotients of glamor.
The final getup is the most casual one in terms of the amount of items to be adorned. A simple grey green longline crew neck T-shirt, made of lightweight fabric, is a perfect choice to attend college in, for this boiling summer season.
Which are your favorite looks from the collection, and the lookbook? Do let me know. And I hope you enjoyed glancing through the lookbook, as much as I enjoyed putting it together for y’all.
